Developing a platform with the right partner

Last month, in the blog "from idea to reality," we wrote about our idea to make supRmen a platform where you can shape the information of an asset (building or ship) into a report at the touch of a button.

This report contains data on numbers, dimensions and damages detected by our AI. In addition, an important functionality on the platform is the visualization of the asset in the form of a photorealistic 3D model so that they all have an exact representation of reality to fall back on 24/7.

A good idea, but how do we bring it to fruition? Broadly speaking, three key elements of functionality and technology must come together:

1. The supRmen platform: A central platform for sharing real estate data between all parties involved, such as drone inspection companies, building owners, maintenance parties and subcontractors.
2. Visualization and Annotation Software: Integrating existing visualization and annotation software to put our focus on what we do best, which is developing AI and working with partners
3. Proprietary AI Model: Development of our proprietary AI model for automatically detecting building elements and extracting data such as dimensions and damages from 3D models and photos. More on this next month.

The "centerpiece" of our technology is a platform on which real estate data such as images and data can be easily shared. We decided to have this part built by an external organization. But what is involved when you make the choice to have an external organization build part of your software? The main 6 components we paid attention to when selecting the right partner are:

Does the platform meet the highest security standards and use the latest security technologies? We have implemented multiple layers of security to safeguard our customers' data.

Stability and Quality

We considered both the stability of our partner and the quality of the software platform to be developed. The written code is consistent and error-free, which ensures easy maintenance.

The platform is built using the latest proven technologies. We chose a microservices architecture to increase flexibility and provide the ability to easily modify and improve parts of the code while keeping the platform online 24/7.

We have thought about how easy it is to add new functionality to the platform without requiring a specialist. It is also important that real estate data can be easily exchanged between our platform and other software platforms via APIs.

After an extensive tender, we found the right party in Auruscent. Every 2 weeks we get a presentation of the progress and every week we discuss where we stand, how the project is going and what we are up against. It is cool to see the first functionalities becoming visible and the platform taking shape. Just a few more months until the first (Beta) version is available.
