Better real estate projects with automated facade inspection

Autonomous facade inspection is a crucial process that can be used to effectively maintain a building's facade. To collect the best quality property data, drones are used to scan the gavel. This property data can then be used to create a multi-year maintenance plan (MJOP) that describes the maintenance activities needed and when they should be performed. MJOPs are especially important for property owners, homeowners' associations and housing associations because they are responsible for maintaining the facades of their buildings. By using an MJOP, they can ensure that facade maintenance is done correctly and that no deferred maintenance occurs.

A gamechanger
Drones are already used worldwide to inspect buildings, but they are not autonomous and do not meet industry requirements. This autonomous method is therefore a gamechanger in asset management; a property dataset is automatically scanned and then fully analyzed by computer (AI).
Unique Selling Point is that the usually largest part of the inspection costs (going to location, arranging AWP, getting to height, and working out in the office) are very low with this method. More on this in our blog, "Why Automatic Building Analysis is a Gamechanger."

Autonomous façade inspection can also help control maintenance costs. By effectively scheduling maintenance, costs can be spread out over a longer period of time. This is especially important for homeowner associations and housing corporations, as they often have limited budgets.

Another advantage of autonomous facade inspection is that it is safer than traditional inspection methods. Traditional inspection methods require a person to work at height, which can be dangerous and lead to accidents. With autonomous facade inspection, robots can perform the inspection without requiring a person to work at height.

Autonomous facade inspection can also be used to improve the quality of maintenance. By collecting property data, it is possible to determine which parts of the facade need extra attention. This can lead to more targeted maintenance and improved maintenance quality.

Finally, autonomous facade inspection can be used to extend the life of the facade. By effectively planning and performing maintenance, the facade can last longer. This is especially important for older buildings, whose facades are often in poor condition.

In short, automatic façade inspection is a valuable investment for property owners, homeowner associations and housing associations. It can be used to create an MJOP, control maintenance costs, improve safety, increase maintenance quality and extend facade life.
