Automate property management and property maintenance for safety and reduced workload

Niek Tettero

Safety is important to everyone. For example, the government's goal is to reduce the number of industrial accidents to zero by 2040. Innovation offers a solution to this, including in the world of property maintenance and inspection. The emergence of the use of 3D models, point clouds and Artificial Intelligence (AI) within the real estate sector is making this goal increasingly realistic.

Safety Increased: Working at Height Not Needed

One aspect of new technologies in property maintenance is reducing the need to work at height. Drone inspections allow us to collect detailed data of the entire building envelope. The data gathered is used to create photorealistic 3D models that allow you to perform inspections on our cloud-based platform without having to be physically present on site. This improves safety and significantly reduces the risk of accidents.

Reduce Workload

AI is often mentioned in the same breath as efficiency, but how can AI help you as a real estate professional work more efficiently? When people initially think of AI, they often think only of the large Large Language Models from OpenAI or Google, but so much more is possible.

Thus, we have developed an AI model capable of detecting building elements and damages in order to then measure them automatically. In a later blog, we will talk more about how computer vision works and how our AI is able to recognize building elements. Our in-house developed AI tool acts as a property inspection assistant that can take over time-consuming and repetitive tasks so professionals have more time for the things they are good at - actually assessing property condition and writing opinions.

In this way, the implementation of AI within real estate can play a crucial role in reducing workload. Lots of real estate data available 24/7 combined with our solutions result in more efficiency and lower workload.

Guidelines for quality

How does such a new technology compare in terms of quality that your traditional methods? A short answer is that they comply with applicable standards such as NEN2580 and NEN2767.

Because of the high measurement accuracy in the models and the fact that no detail goes unnoticed, inspections become more complete and the preparation of MJOPs and budgets easier and more accurate, resulting in higher quality property maintenance.

Automated Property Management

supRmen brings these new technologies together in a cloud-based platform through which we provide an integrated and end-to-end solution for housing associations, managers and maintenance companies. Through technology and a focus on sustainability, supRmen supports real estate professionals in making data-driven decisions, taking safety, efficiency and quality to the next level.

In short, the future of property maintenance lies in streamlined processes supported by AI and advanced data analytics. Want to know what this could mean for your organization? Feel free to contact us for a demo or read more about our solutions here.
