How can Woonstad Rotterdam execute maintenance projects quickly and effectively, despite capacity issues with contractors and the complexity of traditional property inspections?
Woonstad Rotterdam manages a large and diverse property portfolio of approximately 60,000 units, which requires continuous renovation and maintenance. Traditional property inspections were often time-consuming, reliant on manual processes and not always accurate.
In addition, despite their good will, the chain partners responsible for roof inspections had too few "hands" to do all the work. This created problems, in the areas of:
- Capacity issues: the number of available specialists with the right was limited, leading to delays in implementation and decision-making.
- Completion deadline was missed: Woonstad did not have the right data available in time to produce maintenance budgets
- Unexpected costs: assumptions due to inaccurate data regularly resulted in miscalculations in budgets, which in turn led to unforeseen costs due to additional work.
- Data was difficult to find: the data needed for analysis was "somewhere" and lacked the context needed to avoid discussion
Woonstad Rotterdam was looking for a solution that would speed up and improve the process of building inspection, maintenance and decision making.
In this way, the workload for the Woonstad team could be eased, and the amount of additional work could be significantly reduced.
And last, but not least. Another important premise was that this would not cause unnecessary inconvenience to residents.
